The New York Times published an article entitled “Phished on Facebook? You Can Return”. In the article, it tells of Facebook rolling out a new tool to make it easier to restore access to your account, if it was compromised by some cyber-creeps and consequently Facebook suspends you.
It says,
The new steps are a reaction to a spate of “phishing” attacks that hit Facebook users recently, in which scammers lured people to type in their password on fake Facebook login pages, filched their usernames and passwords, and then used their accounts to spam other Facebook users.
“The vast majority of people who use Facebook have never experienced a security problem,” said Facebook’s Jake Brill in a blog post. “For the small number who do, knowing how to fight back is key.”
